Sport Climbing Day Trip
North Wales
07:00 – 21:00
For the next climbing trip, we will aim to head to the North Wales to get in a spot of single pitch sport climbing, for a change. The exact location will be decided nearer to the day as we will have a much better idea of what the weather is doing. Please note that as we move late into the year, and the conditions start to deteriorate, it may not always be possible to climb. We will certainly try out best to find dry rock but may have to scramble if the conditions don't allow climbing.  After a climbing filled day, we will be heading to the pub in true LUMC fashion. So please remember to bring a bit of money with you. If you wish to come on this trip then you MUST be able to LEAD BELAY. This is a vital skill that will keep both you and your climbing partner safe at the crag. If you need to learn to belay, then please make sure to head along to one of our awesome walls sessions on Wednesday afternoons, lead by Katie Gemmell All Climbing Equipment will be provided, but please bring your own if you have any. Pickups will be around 7am, but exact times will be announced closer to the trip.  ----------------------------------------------------------------- ESSENTIALS - Warm layers - It is highly likely to be very cold at the base of the crag - Waterproof jacket and trousers - Warm Layers - At least 1 Litre of fluid (either water or squash) - Lunch and Snacks to keep you going all day - A bag to store all your stuff in at the Crag - LUMC Membership -Climbing shoes OPTIONAL - Camera - Money for the pub ----------------------------------------------------------------- Tickets will go on sale on Sunday 11th November from 8PM, and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. I look forward to seeing you all there for another great climbing trip!  Andreas (Outdoor Climbing captain)
