It's the first mixed trip of the year, woooh! Those who walk, climb or both, unite as one big LUMC family for a wild weekend in Snowdonia. There will be the usual outdoor action accompanied by a healthy dose of drinking and LUMC's favourite hut games. The hut is situated right next to a selection of crags and a short drive to some of Snowdonia's finest mountains. Please be aware though that as climbing is dependant on dry weather, you need to be prepared to walk if the weather takes a turn for the worse. We will stop at a supermarket en route and you will split into small food groups to cook dinner and breakfast together. Tickets are £35 and you will need to register for a ticket between 8pm and 9pm Wednesday 26th Oct. You will then be entered into a lottery if demand is greater than the number of spaces available. It’s so amazing that these formations are so perfect for climbing on. It’s almost as if they were created for climbing. You’re taking these random rock formations and you’re bringing to it this interaction. It transforms it from being this random rock into almost this piece of art. It’s almost like a sculpture or something. Just by finding the handholds, finding that line up the rock. Every climb is different, has its own unique set of movements and body positions. Climbing and my appreciation for nature are totally intertwined- Chris Sharma
