We’re staying at the High Moss hut in the Duddon Valley,. We’re hoping to get out this time and do some hiking and bouldering. However, it is looking rainy again grrr. So as normal, prep for all weather! *YOU WILL NEED AN AU MEMBERSHIP, NO MEMBERSHIP, NO TICKET!* KIT LIST -  For this trip, you will need to bring: Sleeping Bag (can use a jumper as a pillow) WARM layers & Suitable Clothes (waterproof just in case?) Lunches for Saturday and Sunday - we will stop at a supermarket on the way.  Friday night dinner (or eat beforehand) Suitable footwear for hiking and climbing (NOT trainers!) If you are keen on climbing - Please bring your own shoes!  Any medication you may need (we have first aid kits, but don't carry stuff like inhalers, epipens etc.) If you have a speaker please bring it!! 🚨WEEKEND TRIP ROUND THREE, 6-8th Feb🚨 ‼️Payment for this ticket is to be paid to our PayPal @ tres.lumc@gmail.com on the FRIENDS AND FAMILY setting pretty please‼️ Hello everyone, it’s time for weekend trip No3 to the Peak District!! It will be a super fun, chiiillll weekend of bouldering and walking if its wet - sadly it is looking quite wet but we're trying to find some dry spots, this might include sport climbing. We will be staying at the Stoney Middleton hut in the centre of the peaks.  The hut we stay in will be pretty small and cosy so please if you have them try and bring a sleeping matt and bag !! It will make the sleeping arrangements easier for all :) It will be freezing and currently overcast with a touch of rain. PLEASE make sure to bring lots of warm layers and waterproofs etc. KIT LIST -  Sleeping Bag (can use a jumper as a pillow) Sleeping mat  WARM layers & Suitable Clothes (waterproofs) Lunches for Saturday and Sunday Friday night dinner (or eat beforehand) - breakfasts and saturday night dinner is provided - all veggie! Suitable footwear for hiking and climbing (NOT trainers!) If you are keen on climbing - Please bring your own shoes! We are going to be doing some climbing which is very difficult in normal shoes. Your own harness if you'd like it, we might be doing some sport climbing Any medication you may need (we have first aid kits, but don't carry stuff like inhalers, epipens etc.) p.s. Trevor Quarry Trip

On Sunday (5th October) we will be going on LUMCs first outdoor climbing trip of the year!! People will be able to get involved in outdoor lead and sport climbing at the beautiful Trevor Quarry in Llangollen which is accessible for all abilities. Committee and members will be happy to help so don't worry if this will be your first time outdoor climbing. We'll probably stop by a pub on the way home too... it's going to be epic - don't miss it! Schedule The ticket price includes pickups from outside the sports centre on campus at 8:40 on Saturday morning, try to be there in advance as we'll be heading straight to Smithdown Asda Carpark for 8:50 to pick up the remaining climbers, where we will aim to leave at 9. We hope to be back in Liverpool for around 10-11ish so bring plenty of food and drink to keep you going, so remember to bring warm clothes as it can get quite chilly, and waterproofs just in case. All gear like helmets and harnesses will be provided however you will need climbing shoes as we don't have any spares!! ‼️ Payments made after ticket confirmation to our Paypal using friends and family @  tres.lumc@gmail.com ‼️ 🧿NO AU membership is required for this trip as it is the first one of the year🧿

Matterhorn of Wales Hiking Trip

On Saturday (4th of October) we’re going on our first hike of the year! We will be heading to north wales to climb Cnicht, a small (689m) pyramid shaped mountain nicknamed the Matterhorn of Wales. The route itself is just over 8km long with 550m of ascent and should take us roughly 4.5 hours. At the end we’ll head over to Plas y Brenin (the national outdoor centre) for a quick pint before driving back to Liverpool... get innn :0 Kit list - Waterproofs - there is a chance of rain Walking boots (preferably with ankle support), or grippy walking trainers Warm Clothing (Fleece) Snacks & Lunch and PLENTY of water Schedule The ticket price includes pickups from outside the sports centre on campus at 7:30am on Sunday morning, try to be there in advance as we'll be heading straight to Smithdown Asda Carpark for 7:40 to pick up the remaining climbers, where we will aim to leave at 7:50am. We will be meeting and walking from Campus (by the Student Service centre/ Augustus John Pub) to Awesome walls liverpool via the merseyrail or by bike if you have one. This session is for people that have no sport climbing experience so they can learn how to climb and belay safely. Taster session will cost £10pp at the door No kit is required although if you have your own climbing shoes and/or harness then bring it.

Ninja Warrior
Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park (Liverpool)

Hello folks!!!! We will be going to Ninja Warrior in Speke on Wednesday 20th November. The session starts at 3, you can travel there yourself or join a group of us getting the 86A from Upper Parliament Street at 1:45pm. Ninja Warrior has told us we must arrive by 2:40pm - try not to be late as it will eat in to your time on the equipment. Tickets are £14.50 per person for a two hour session plus mandatory Ninja Warrior grippy socks. We will be taking payment through paypal (club account is tres.lumc@gmail.com). This needs to be done immidiately. Drop us a message if you can't use paypal. If you do not pay by Wednesday 13th November you will lose your spot and therefore no longer have access to the discounted price.  If you have come to buy a ticket but there are none left then we will have reached the capacity of the booking - you are more than welcome to join us seperately but will have to book yourself and pay the regular fee (2 hours - £20.95). We will probably go to the pub after (classic). We're excited to see you there!!!

Rope Climbing Teaching Session

This will primarily be a teaching session led by the club for anyone who wants to have a go at rope climbing, though any competent sport climbers who are keen are also welcome to come along. We will take you through all the basics of rope climbing and belaying. Any equipment that people require will be provided, but you will have to pay for entry to the centre.  IMPORTANT: Already competent sport climbers who don't need any teaching do not need to get a ticket.
