Blaen-y-Nant Weekend Trip

🏔️🏔️🏔️ The first LUMC weekend trip of the year is to Blaen Y Nant in the beautiful Snowdonia! 🏔️🏔️🏔️

The format of an LUMC weekend trip is usually pretty flexible, but it roughly goes like this
Friday evening - Pick up (times below) Stop off at a supermarket to grab food bits if you haven’t got them already, arrive and have some drinks/chill in the hut.
Saturday - in the morning everyone chooses what they want to do for the day then groups split and go out. Dinner prepared by the committee in the evening then fun activities/games/music after
Sunday - Clean up the hut (everyone has to help!) and get another day of activity in, then drive home (often via a pub) and get back in the evening around 10pm.
For this trip, you will need to bring:
- Sleeping Bag
- Pillow - not completely neccessary.
- Suitable clothes (WARM, waterproofs, No jeans!)
- Lunches for Saturday and Sunday
- Friday night dinner (or eat beforehand)
- Hiking/Climbing stuff (depending on what you want to do!)
- Suitable footwear (not trainers!)
- If you are keen on climbing - Please bring your own shoes!
- Any medication you may need (we have first aid kits, but don't carry stuff like inhalers, epipens etc.)
There is also a lake by the hut that we could go wild swimming in. If youre keen bring a towel and swimming stuff!
p.s. If anyone has a good speaker and would like to bring it please let us know!! We need to get some good tunes going in the hut
Pick ups will be on Friday at:
- 6PM at Sports Hall Carpark
- 6:15PM at Smithdown ASDA
Tickets are a bit more expensive for this trip, but they go straight towards covering accommodation, petrol + vans, breakfast and dinners!
!!!AU MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP!!! - We will be checking before you get picked up - you will be left in the car park if if you dont have a membership, details on how to get the AU membership are on our instagram.
