Caseg Fraith Weekend Trip

The first LUMC weekend trip of the year (and the biggest!) is to the Caseg Fraith hut in the beautiful Snowdonia!

The format of a LUMC weekend trip is usually pretty flexible, but roughly it goes like this...

Friday evening - Pick up (times below) Stop off at a supermarket to grab last food bits if you haven’t got them already, arrive and have some drinks/chill in the hut.

Saturday - in the morning everyone chooses what they want to do for the day then groups split and go out. Tea prepared by the lovely committee (all veggie) in the evening then fun activities/games/music after.

Sunday - Clean up the hut (everyone has to help!) and get another day of activity in, then drive home (via a pub) and get back in the evening around 10pm. 

For this trip, you will need to bring:

• Sleeping Bag
• Sleeping mat if you like (not neccessary) 
• Suitable clothes (WARM, waterproofs, No jeans!)
• Lunches for Saturday and Sunday
• Friday night dinner (or eat beforehand)
• Hiking/Climbing gear (depending on what you want to do!)
• Suitable footwear (not trainers!)
  • If you are keen on climbing - Please bring your own shoes! We are gonna be doing some climbing which is very difficult in normal shoes!
• Any medication you may need (we have first aid kits, but don't carry stuff like inhalers, epipens etc.)

p.s. If anyone has a good speaker and would like to bring it please let us know!! We need to get some good tunes going in the hut

Pick ups will be on Friday at:

• 6:15PM at Sports Hall Carpark
• 6:30PM at Smithdown ASDA

👹AU MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP👹 - we will be checking when you buy your ticket - you will be left in the car park if no membership, details on how to get the AU membership are on our whatsapp announcements.
