Blaen y Nant weekend trip

LUMC are having our first weekend trip of the year to Blaen Y Nant in the lovely mountains of Snowdonia! The format of an LUMC weekend trip is usually pretty flexible, but roughly it goes like this

Friday evening - arrive and have some drinks/chill in the hut

Saturday - in the morning everyone chooses what they want to do for the day then groups split and go out. Dinner prepared by the lovely committee in the evening then fun activities/games/music after

Sunday - Clean up the hut (everyone has to help!) and get another day of activity in, then drive home (often via a pub) and get back in the evening

For this trip, you will need to bring:

• Sleeping Bag
• Pillow
• Warm Clothes
• Lunches for Saturday and Sunday
• Friday night dinner (or eat beforehand)
• Hiking/Climbing stuff (depending on what you want to do!)
• Suitable footwear (not trainers!)
  • If you are keen on climbing - Please bring your own shoes! We are gonna be doing some climbing which is very difficult in normal shoes!
• Suitable clothes (No jeans!)
• Waterproofs
• Any medication you may need (we have first aid kits, but don't carry stuff like inhalers, epipens etc.)

Pick ups will be on Friday at:

• 6PM at Sports Hall Carpark
• 6:15PM at Smithdown ASDA

Tickets are a bit more expensive, but they go straight towards covering accommodation, petrol + vans, breakfast and dinners!

AU membership is required for this trip.
